Exercising & Special DietsKennels and catteries provide a variety of special services from grooming and bathing to exercise plans. While staying over in a boarding kennel your loved animal can be looked after by professional and trained staff in a friendly environment.It is important that animals have a range of activities to keep them occupied. Optional exercise plans have been devised to fit into your pet's habits. Most kennels will have run ways, play time activities or nature walks. There are also large fenced areas where your dog can play with tennis balls or tug toys. Kennels and catteries also have personal play time where a member of staff will take the animal into the exercise area for games or just to give the dog some freedom. Whatever requirements you may have, staff at your local kennel will gladly supply any additional information. Apart from exercising opportunities, your pet can be given a special diet upon request. There is a supply of regular tinned and dry food for everyday consumption. If your dog or cat needs another type of food or is on a special diet then it is best to arrange that with the kennel and let them know. Tip from Kennels and Catteries: Give your dog enough daily exercise and play times. Younger dogs require more exercise and older dogs need to walk frequently but for shorter periods. Do not allow your dog to become obese as it will affect his health. |
